Skin Care

Young Living makes it possible for us to not only take care of our skin, but to do it without all of the harmful ingredients. Our skin is our largest organ, so we need to be mindful of the products we are slathering all over our face and bodies. Most of your typical skin care products are filled with ingredients like synthetic fragrances or harsh chemicals that leave the skin feeling stripped, and most of the time irritating any blemishes or causing problematic skin to inflame. Not only are these products harsh on our skin, but they cause major health concerns over time.

Young Living offers multiple skin care lines. Their ART skin care line is specifically formulated for aging women, whereas their Orange Blossom skin care line is specifically formulated for normal to oily skin, as well as blemish prone skin. They also have an over the counter maximum strength acne treatment, and it makes such a huge difference for us that struggle with acne.

Now, something else I need to make sure you’re aware of is that our diet and environment also play a huge role in the health of our skin. I suggest you eat real whole foods, drink lots of water, and exercise. Try to cut out excessive sugar, soda, fast food, and experiment with cutting gluten out of your diet as well. These foods wreak havoc on our skin, and although a good topical regimen is important, a wholesome diet is equally as important. I’ve struggled with problematic skin since I entered my 20’s and the only thing that has actually cleared it up was changing my diet, taking a probiotic every night to support my gut health, and sticking to a skin care regimen with powerful, plant based products.
